How To Use Facebook To Gain Affiliate Sales

In this video, I’m going to cover how to market your affiliate link on Facebook.

You see, we use facebook quite a bit here for advertising our products and it’s one of our best platforms for generating sales.

I’m going to show you how to develop a strong presence on Facebook so that you can also reap the benefits that Facebook has to offer.

If you haven’t already, start by creating your facebook page and a facebook group for that page.

The primary goal of creating a facebook page and group is to create an engaged, target audience that you can promote your offers to.

So here’s what we’re going to go over.

  1. The organic way to rank your page and group.
  2. Why it’s important to have a call-to-action graphic
  3. Some helpful tips on growing your page
  4. How to effectively use your affiliate link

When you first create your page and group, you have to get 25 likes in order to claim your vanity URL. This shortens the URL to your brand name and it’s an easier link for your visitors to remember.

Then, complete as many of the fields as you can about the page and group. For your facebook page, this must include a good description of your business, the categories that your business is in, your contact information, the products you’re offering, and the website field. Fill the website field with your affiliate link. For your group, you don’t have as many fields, you just have to fill out the description field. Be sure to include your affiliate link in the description. In your description fields for both the page and the group, be sure to include relevant keywords and keyword phrases so that whenever someone uses the facebook search, your page pops up towards the top.

Then, start posting helpful information around your businesses right away and make a plan to be consistent with your posting.

Your cover photo is the first thing that your page and group visitors see. What we want to do is make your cover photo engaging and almost like it’s own landing page header.

Our goal with creating a call-to-action cover graphic is to entice your visitors with a powerful headline and a button that they can click. Now, since it’s on Facebook, when they click the button, it will enlarge the photo and display the cover photo’s description. You want to make sure that you include your affiliate link in the cover photo’s description.

Once your page is set up and optimized, it’s time to get some visitors to the page with the marketing channels we already have. Start by inviting people from your email list. I recommend sending an email to your list to inform them of your new page or group inviting them to be a part of it. Then, use Facebook’s invite friends button to invite friends of yours that would be interested in interacting with your page and group. Use this feature sparingly, as you don’t want to put a lot of people in your group that are not interested in the same field that you’re in.

Whenever one of your visitors or members post to the group, be sure to reply and comment helpful information whenever your insight could be helpful. In groups, replying to a member’s post is one of the best ways you can acknowledge them for being part of your group.

This also goes for other facebook groups, not just your own. It’s a great idea to join other Facebook groups and engage in conversations with their members.

Remember, whenever you leave a helpful comment, anyone that goes through the comments could potentially see your comment. If your comment is genuine and helpful, they can click on your profile picture or name to head to your profile where they’d see your call-to-action graphic and potentially make a purchase on our website.

As I had mentioned, it’s very important to post helpful information and to be consistent. It’s important that you’re not only posting sales posts or you could come off as pushy or spammy.

First, you need to be able to gain your visitors’ trust. You do that by providing helpful information to your visitors. The info could be about dieting, fitness, weight loss, recipes, or whatever you think would actually help your visitors reach their goals.

It is important to be consistent and to have a regular posting schedule.

Providing proof that our products work is another huge step in boosting your affiliate commissions. Use our creatives and testimonials to showcase credibility and be sure to tell stories that are related to the products. And be sure to link to specific products when possible. For example, if you were to use a before/after of someone that’s used our Skinny Bee Platinum, copy and paste your skinny bee platinum affiliate link into your post’s description.

You earn a commission whenever a visitor clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase, so it’s crucial to not spam your affiliate link and to use it only when you think it will get clicked. Be clear, honest, helpful, and most importantly interesting so that your audience likes to hear what you have to say.
